Devotional
As parents, we’re not just raising children – we’re shaping future adults who will influence society. Our children watch how we respond to authority, and they’ll likely mirror our attitudes and actions. When we speak disrespectfully about leaders or undermine authority, we’re teaching our children to do the same. But when we model respect and proper submission to authority, even when we disagree, we’re preparing our children for success in every area of life. This responsibility is both sobering and empowering – we have the opportunity to positively impact not just our children, but future generations.

Bible Verse
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” – Ephesians 6:4

Reflection Question
What messages about authority are you conveying to your children through your words and actions?

Quote
Parents, moms and dads, you are God’s representative to teach your children the role of respecting authority. If they see you undermine authority, they will undermine authority. What they hear you saying about leaders, they will say about leaders.

Prayer
Father God, make me mindful of the example I’m setting. Help me model respect for authority in a way that honors You and guides those watching me. Amen.
