Devotional
Imagine if your only supervisor was God Himself. How would that change your work ethic? When we work primarily for human approval, we’re bound to experience frustration and disappointment. But when we shift our focus to working for God’s approval, everything changes. The most humble task becomes an act of worship when done for His glory. This mindset frees us from the constant need for human validation and allows us to find satisfaction in knowing we’re serving God faithfully.
Bible Verse
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” – Colossians 3:23
Reflection Question
What would change about your work habits if you truly believed God was your only supervisor?
Quote “If you’re working for people, get ready to be frustrated. Get ready to be miserable, get ready for a rough ride. But when you see I do my work as unto the Lord, then you’re no longer enslaved to people or enslaved to the opinions of people.”
Prayer
Lord, help me to work for Your approval above all else. Free me from the need for human validation and help me find joy in serving You through my work. Amen.
