Devotional
The path to sexual purity isn’t found in our own strength or willpower. It’s found at the foot of the cross, where Jesus paid the price for all our sins—including sexual sins. Many who have fallen into sexual sin report the same pattern: they began to neglect their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our strongest defense against temptation isn’t rigid rules or fear of consequences—it’s a vibrant, daily relationship with our Savior. When we’re connected to Christ, drawing strength from His presence and finding our identity in His love, we’re less vulnerable to the empty promises of sexual sin. We recognize that what the world offers can never satisfy the deep longing of our souls. If you’ve fallen into sexual sin, the cross offers not condemnation but forgiveness and restoration. Jesus’ blood covers all sin, and His grace offers a fresh start. And if you’re currently battling temptation, that same cross provides the power to overcome. Today, whatever your situation, run to the cross. Cling to Jesus with all your might, knowing that in Him you find not just forgiveness for past failures but strength for present struggles and hope for future victory.
Bible Verse
“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:18
Reflection Question
What specific spiritual disciplines could you strengthen to deepen your relationship with Christ and find greater power over temptation?
Quote Run to the cross and grab ahold of it and don’t ever let go of it. You run to the foot of Jesus Christ and you grab ahold of the shed blood that was shed for you on Calvary, and you grab ahold of it and you don’t ever let go of it.
Prayer
Jesus, I run to Your cross today. Thank You for the forgiveness and cleansing You offer. I acknowledge that I cannot maintain purity in my own strength—I need Your power working in me. Draw me closer to You each day, and help me find my deepest satisfaction in relationship with You rather than in the temporary pleasures this world offers. In Your precious name, amen.
