Devotional
Mary’s journey to visit Elizabeth wasn’t just a social call – it was a divine appointment orchestrated by God Himself. Think about the timing: Mary had just received life-changing news and needed someone who would understand. Elizabeth, miraculously pregnant in her old age, was exactly the person Mary needed to encounter. This wasn’t coincidence; it was God’s perfect planning. Every day, we have the opportunity to step into divine appointments that God has prepared for us. These aren’t random encounters – they’re purposeful meetings where God wants to use us to encourage someone else, or where He wants to speak to us through another person. The key is waking up each morning with expectancy, knowing that God has ordered our steps. Sometimes we get so focused on our own plans and schedules that we miss these divine appointments. We rush past the person who needs encouragement, or we’re too distracted to notice when God is trying to connect us with someone who has a word we need to hear. But when we live with awareness of God’s sovereignty over our daily encounters, everything changes. Mary could have stayed home, processing her news alone. Instead, she made the journey to Elizabeth, and that decision led to one of the most beautiful encounters in Scripture. What divine appointments might you be walking into today? Who has God placed in your path that needs to hear from Him through you, or who might have something God wants you to hear?
Bible Verse
‘At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea’ – Luke 1:39

How can you cultivate a greater awareness of the divine appointments God might be placing in your daily routine?
Quote
“We need to wake up every day with a sense of divine assignment and divine appointment that I may find somebody today who needs to hear something from me, and yet I may find somebody who needs to speak something to me.” -Pastor Jerry Madden
Prayer
Lord, open my eyes to see the divine appointments You’ve prepared for me today. Help me to be sensitive to Your Spirit’s leading and ready to be used by You in the lives of others.
