Devotional
Here’s a truth that brings both comfort and challenge: Jesus doesn’t always calm the storm, but He always cares for us in it. Sometimes He speaks to the wind and waves, creating instant peace in our circumstances. Other times, He speaks to our hearts, creating peace within us while the storm continues to rage around us. Both are expressions of His love and lordship. The key is understanding that His presence with us is enough, regardless of which way He chooses to work. When we grasp this truth, we can find joy and strength even in difficult circumstances. We don’t have to wait for perfect conditions to experience His peace. Whether He changes our situation or changes us in our situation, we can trust that He’s working for our good and His glory. His presence is the constant that makes all the difference.
Bible Verse
‘Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.’ – Habakkuk 3:17-18
