Devotional

Have you ever felt like you were not qualified enough for what God was asking of you? Maybe you looked at your past, your limitations, or your lack of experience and thought, surely God could find someone better for this. Here is the good news. He is not looking for the most qualified. He is looking for the willing. When Jesus faced a crowd of five thousand hungry people, His disciples panicked. They did not have enough food, enough money, or enough resources to meet the need. But Jesus took what little they had, blessed it, and multiplied it beyond anything they could have imagined. That is how God works. He does not wait for you to have everything figured out before He uses you. He takes what you have, blesses it, and does something extraordinary with it. Your job is simply to offer it. Maybe God has been nudging you toward something and you have been holding back because you do not feel ready. Take courage today. If He has spoken to your heart, He will equip you for the work. You do not need to have all the answers. You just need to say yes. God has a long history of using ordinary, unqualified people to do extraordinary things. You could be next.

Bible Verse

“When he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.” – Mark 6:41

Reflection Question

What is the “not enough” in your life that you have been hesitant to offer to God, and what might happen if you placed it in His hands?

Quote

“He doesn’t look for the most qualified. He qualifies those he calls.”

Prayer

Father, I offer You what little I have and trust that You can do more with it than I ever could on my own. Give me the courage to say yes to what You are calling me to do. Amen.
