Devotional

Getting older happens automatically. Growing up is a choice. God cares about the whole you. Not just your spiritual life on Sunday mornings, but your habits during the week, your emotional health, your relationships, and the character you are building day by day. He is not just interested in the parts of you that show up at church. He is invested in all of it. Luke 2:52 tells us that Jesus grew in stature. That word “stature” points to becoming the person God designed you to be. It is a process, and it does not happen by accident. It takes intentionality. Here is some encouragement, especially if you are young: you do not have to wait until you are older to start becoming who God made you to be. The purpose and calling on your life is already there. Do not waste time sitting on the sidelines waiting for some future version of yourself to show up. And for those who have been walking with God for years, there is no coasting. Growth is always available. There is always more character to build, more healing to receive, more of God to know. Wherever you are in life, today is a good day to take one step toward becoming who He created you to be.

Bible Verse

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
