Devotional
Imagine being invited to join the most beautiful dance ever choreographed – one that has been going on since before time began. That’s exactly what happened when God created humanity. We weren’t created because God was lacking something or needed us to complete Him. The Trinity was already enjoying perfect fellowship, complete joy, and eternal glory together. Instead, we were created to participate in this divine dance, to be swept up into the eternal rhythm of love and mutual glorification that defines God’s very nature. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve lived in perfect sync with this divine rhythm. They walked with God in the cool of the day, their lives naturally revolving around Him rather than themselves. Every breath, every thought, every action was part of this beautiful dance with their Creator. This is what we were designed for – not to be the center of attention, but to find our greatest joy in participating in God’s glory. When we understand this, it reframes our entire purpose. We’re not here to build our own kingdoms or make life about our achievements and desires. We’re here to dance with God, to find our rhythm in His eternal love, and to experience the joy that comes from being part of something infinitely greater than ourselves. This is the life we were created for, and it’s the life that still calls to us today.
Bible Verse
‘The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.’ – Genesis 2:15
Reflection Question
What would it look like practically for your life to ‘dance’ with God rather than trying to be the center of attention?
Quote “We were created to be a part of the dance. You were made to dance with God.”
Prayer
Creator God, thank You for designing me to be part of Your eternal dance. Help me to find my rhythm in Your love rather than trying to make life about myself. Show me what it means to live in sync with Your purposes. Amen.
