Devotional
Because Jesus rose from the dead, we can face any circumstance with this unshakeable truth: in the end, everything’s going to be okay. This isn’t naive optimism or wishful thinking – it’s resurrection reality. When death itself has been defeated, what else could possibly have the final word? This doesn’t mean life will be easy or that we won’t face genuine hardships. Jesus never promised a trouble-free existence. What He did promise is that He has overcome the world, and because He lives, we can live with hope that transcends our circumstances. When you realize what Jesus accomplished on the cross and confirmed through His resurrection, everything changes. By faith in His atoning sacrifice, everything you’ve ever done wrong is paid in full. Every failure, every mistake, every moment of rebellion – the debt is cleared. You’re not just forgiven; you’re declared righteous in God’s sight. This truth should fundamentally alter how we approach each day. Instead of living in fear of the future, we can live with confidence in God’s promises. Instead of being crushed by temporary setbacks, we can maintain eternal perspective. Instead of despairing when things go wrong, we can remember that our story doesn’t end with earthly troubles. The resurrection is God’s guarantee that love wins, justice prevails, and death loses. No matter what you’re facing today, hold onto this truth: because Jesus is alive, your story has a victorious ending.
Bible Verse
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. – John 16:33 (King James Version)
