Devotional
Most of us quit too soon. We pray once, maybe twice. We wait a few days. When nothing changes, we quietly wonder if God heard us at all. Then we move on, carrying the unanswered prayer like a stone we eventually set down. This mother did not do that. She had no standing before a Jewish rabbi. She knew it. She had no leverage, no credentials, and no right to demand anything. She knew that too. And she came anyway. She pressed in. When He did not answer, she did not leave. When the disciples urged Him to send her away, she fell at His feet. She was not demanding. She was not performing. She was simply refusing to walk away from the only One who could help her. There is a posture in prayer that God responds to, and it is not the loudest or the most polished. It is the humble, persistent kind. The kind that keeps showing up. The kind that says, I have nowhere else to go, and I am not leaving without something from You. Whatever you are waiting on, do not quit. Keep coming. Keep asking. He sees you.
