Devotional
Jesus did not say the world would know His followers by their miracles. He did not say they would be recognized by their theological precision or their spiritual gifts. He said they would be known by their love for one another. That is the standard. And it is both simple and deeply challenging. After decades of ministry, the people who leave the most lasting impressions are rarely the most gifted. They are the ones who loved quietly and consistently, without a platform, without applause, simply because they chose to. Their love became the evidence of something real happening on the inside. This is the invitation for your life. Not to be the most impressive person in the room, but to be the most loving. Not to chase recognition for what you can do, but to be faithful in how you treat the people right in front of you. Your love is not a small thing. It is the primary way the world sees Jesus in you. It is the mark of a disciple. And it is more than enough. You do not need to be more gifted to make a difference. You need to love more deeply. Start there, and let everything else follow.

If the people closest to you were asked what you are most known for, would love be the first thing they mention, and what might need to change if it would not?

Father, let love be the defining mark of my life. May the people around me see You clearly through the way I choose to love them every single day. Amen.
