Devotional

Here’s a challenging question: if you truly believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, are you living in its power? Many Christians believe the right things but live as anxiously and fearfully as those who don’t believe at all. We proclaim Easter victory on Sunday but live in Monday defeat. The resurrection isn’t just a historical event we celebrate once a year – it’s a present reality that should transform how we face every challenge. When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn’t just conquer death for Himself; He conquered it for everyone who believes in Him. This means the same power that raised Jesus from the grave is available to us today. Yet too often we live as if the resurrection never happened. We worry about the future as if God isn’t in control. We fear death as if it still has the final word. We struggle with guilt as if our sins aren’t forgiven. We face problems as if we’re powerless to overcome them. Living in resurrection power means approaching life with unshakeable confidence that because Jesus is alive, everything is going to be okay in the end. This doesn’t mean the middle will be easy – Jesus never promised that. But it does mean that no matter what we face, death has been defeated, sin has been conquered, and our future is secure. The question isn’t whether you believe in the resurrection, but whether the resurrection has changed how you live.

Bible Verse

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21 (King James Version)

Reflection Question

In what specific area of your life do you need to start living in resurrection power rather than operating out of fear or anxiety?

Quote

If you do believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the question I would offer you today is, are you living in the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ?

Prayer

Holy Spirit, fill me with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Help me live each day with resurrection confidence, not worldly worry.
