Devotional
If you have ever felt like you were too far gone, too inconsistent, or too much of a mess for God to use, you are in good company. Peter denied Jesus three times. David made devastating choices. Jonah ran in the opposite direction. Thomas doubted out loud. Zacchaeus built his whole life on dishonesty. And yet God was not finished with any of them. Not even close. Favor with God is not something you earn by being perfect. It is something you receive by being positioned. It is about staying in His Word, staying in community, staying on the path where He can meet you. Zacchaeus did not have to track Jesus down. Jesus already knew where He was. He walked right to him. That is the kind of God we serve. He is not waiting for you to get everything together before He shows up. He is already moving toward you. You do not have to have a spotless record to be found by God. You just have to be somewhere He can reach you. Stay in His Word. Stay connected to community. Stay on the path. That is where He finds us. The goal was never perfection. The goal is position.

Are you currently positioned in a place where God can find you, or have you been slowly drifting away from the habits and community that keep you close to Him?

Prayer
Father, I do not have to be perfect to come to You. Help me to stay positioned before You, to stay in Your Word and in community, so that You can always find me right where I am. Amen.
