Devotional
There’s a beautiful distinction we need to understand: conversion is the miracle of a moment, but transformation is the daily work of a lifetime. When you first came to Christ, something incredible happened instantly – your soul was converted from a state of sin to righteous standing before God. That was immediate, complete, and permanent. But becoming like Christ in your daily character? That’s different. That’s the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in your life, and it requires your daily cooperation. It’s not about trying harder or having more willpower – it’s about daily surrendering to God’s transforming work. This transformation shows up in practical ways. Instead of lying, you speak truth. Instead of letting anger control you, you learn to control it. Instead of being selfish, you become generous. Instead of using words that tear down, you use words that build up. Instead of holding grudges, you practice forgiveness and kindness. These changes don’t happen because you grit your teeth and try harder. They happen because you daily surrender your right to justify your old patterns and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work. It’s like a sculptor working on a piece of marble – each day, a little more of the old is chipped away to reveal the beautiful new creation underneath. The world is watching for this kind of transformation. They’re not impressed by our religious activities, but they are amazed when they see genuine character change. They want to know: “How did you become so different? What happened to you?” That’s when we get to share the beautiful story of God’s transforming grace.

Bible Verse
“In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” – Ephesians 4:26-27
