Devotional
In ancient Palestine, widows were society’s forgotten people – no voice, no income, no representation. Yet Jesus chose a widow as the hero of His story about persistent prayer. This wasn’t accidental. God sees those whom the world overlooks, and He champions the causes of the powerless. When you feel invisible or unheard, remember that your prayers reach the throne of the Most High God. Unlike the unjust judge who ignored the widow initially, your Heavenly Father is always listening, always caring, always ready to act on your behalf. You may feel small in this vast world, but you are never small to God. The widow’s persistence wasn’t born from desperation alone – it came from knowing she had a legitimate case. Similarly, when we pray according to God’s will and character, we can approach Him with confidence. Your prayers matter not because of your status or eloquence, but because you belong to Him.

Bible Verse
‘Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.’ – Luke 18:1

Reflection Question
In what areas of your life do you feel invisible or unheard, and how might God be inviting you to bring those concerns to Him in prayer?

Prayer
Father, thank You that You see me when others don’t and hear me when I feel voiceless. Help me trust that my prayers reach Your heart, even when I feel small and forgotten.
