Devotional
Prayer isn’t a cosmic vending machine where we insert requests and wait for desired outcomes. It’s an invitation to experience God’s presence – to know Him, not just know about Him. When we grasp this truth, our approach to prayer transforms from a task-oriented activity to a love-driven pursuit. Like a dear friend’s presence brings comfort and joy, God’s presence becomes our greatest desire and most precious gift. Today, let’s shift our focus from what we can get from God to simply being with Him.

Bible Verse
After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.” – Luke 9:28

Reflection Question
How would your prayer life change if you focused more on pursuing God’s presence than pursuing His presents?

Quote
“Prayer is not about trying to figure out how to get things from God. Prayer is the pursuit of God.”

Prayer
Holy Spirit, teach me to seek Your presence above all else. Help me move beyond treating prayer as a transaction and into experiencing it as a transformative relationship with You. Amen.
