Devotional
There’s something miraculous that happens when we surrender a single moment to God. It’s not about the length of time or the grandeur of our plans – it’s about the heart of surrender in that instant. God can accomplish more in one moment when we truly give it to Him than in countless moments we promise to surrender someday. Think about the great moments in Scripture. Moses didn’t plan for decades to part the Red Sea – he surrendered to God’s call in that critical moment. David didn’t strategize for years before facing Goliath – he stepped forward in faith when the moment demanded it. Mary didn’t have a detailed life plan when the angel appeared – she simply said, “Let it be unto me according to your word.” The enemy wants us to believe that we need perfect conditions, more preparation, or better timing before we can truly serve God. But that’s a lie designed to steal our todays while we wait for an ideal tomorrow. God is looking for availability, not ability. He’s seeking hearts that will say yes in this moment, not perfect people who have it all figured out. What moment is God asking you to surrender to Him today? It might be a conversation with a neighbor, a decision to forgive, or simply choosing to trust Him with a worry you’ve been carrying. Don’t wait for the perfect moment – surrender this moment to Him.

Bible Verse

‘I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.’ – 2 Corinthians 6:2

Reflection Question

What is one specific moment or situation today where you can choose to surrender control to God instead of trying to manage it yourself?

Quote
“God can do more in one moment surrendered to him than he can in a million moments that you will plan to surrender to Him.”

Prayer

Father, I surrender this moment to You. Help me to stop waiting for perfect conditions and instead trust You with what’s right in front of me. Use my availability for Your glory, even when I don’t feel ready. Amen.
