Devotional

Real change is costly. That is true in every area of life, and it is especially true in the Kingdom of God. Jesus did not offer a comfortable revolution. He offered a cross. He took bread, blessed it, and broke it, and in doing so He was previewing what was coming. His own body would be broken. He would be betrayed, mocked, and nailed to a cross by the very people He came to save. And even then, He looked up and said, Father, forgive them. That is the revolution. Not power over enemies, but forgiveness for them. Not taking by force, but giving everything. Not self-preservation, but self-sacrifice. When Jesus cried out “It is finished,” He was not admitting defeat. He was declaring victory. The greatest revolution in history was won not through military might but through a broken body and an empty tomb. And that same Gospel is still the only real hope for our world today. Not a political party. Not a social movement. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, lived out through people who are willing to be broken and poured out for others. You are invited into that revolution. It will cost you something. But what you gain in return is life, real life, the kind that never ends.

Bible Verse

“And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.” – Mark 14:22

Reflection Question

What area of your life is God asking you to surrender or “break open” so that He can use it to bring life to someone else?

Quote

“That’s the moment when he cried out, it is finished. And the revolution of the ages had begun.”

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for being broken so that I could be made whole. Help me to embrace the cost of following You and to trust that what You ask me to give up is nothing compared to what You have already given for me. Amen.
