Devotional
The ultimate proof of Jesus’ lordship over every storm isn’t found in the calming of the Sea of Galilee – it’s found in His victory over death itself. When Jesus rose from the grave on the third day, He demonstrated that no storm, no matter how fierce, can ultimately defeat those who belong to Him. This resurrection power is what gives us unshakeable hope in every season of life. Even when everything around us seems to be falling apart, even when we lose jobs, health, relationships, or dreams, our opinion of who Jesus is doesn’t have to change. He remains the God of our salvation, the Lord of our storms, and the source of our hope. This perspective transforms how we face difficulties. We don’t have to understand why certain storms come or when they’ll end. We just need to remember that the One who conquered death is with us, and that’s enough to carry us through anything life brings our way.
Bible Verse
‘Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.’ – Habakkuk 3:17-18
