Devotional
Silence from God can feel like rejection. We pray, we wait, and when nothing comes back, our minds fill in the blank with the worst possible answer: He does not care, or worse, He is not there. But silence is not always absence. Sometimes it is a classroom. When this mother cried out, Jesus did not answer her immediately. He let the moment stretch. He let her keep coming. And in that space, something was being revealed, not just to her, but to everyone watching. His disciples were there. They were learning something they would need later when they carried the gospel to people just like her. God is always doing more than we can see from where we are standing. When the answer does not come on our timeline, it does not mean He has forgotten us. It may mean He is teaching us something we cannot learn any other way. Patience. Trust. Dependence. The kind of faith that does not require an immediate answer to keep believing. The next time you find yourself in the silence, try asking a different question. Not, why is He not answering? But, what is He trying to teach me right now?

Prayer
Father, when You are quiet, help me trust that You are still working. Teach me what I cannot learn any other way. Amen.
